Medical Receptionist

Our client, a specialist medical practice based in Toowoomba, is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Receptionist for their busy office. The successful candidate will work between 32 and 38 hours each week between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00pm from Monday to Friday, and once a month a Saturday morning shift from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm (penalty rates will apply).

Applicants should have previously worked in the allied health or medical arena in a receptionist or customer-service focussed role, and must possess the following skills:

  • Strong computer and administration skills - a typing speed of approximately 50 wpm is essential to the role, as well as Advanced Microsoft Word skills
  • Dictaphone experience
  • High level communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Basic accounts knowledge
  • High level organisational ability
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • A strong team commitment

Whilst it is not essential to the role, it would be highly desirable if applicants had utilised the Genie software. Applicants must have a professional approach to their work and a flexible and adaptable attitude.
